The journey for Mothers and Fathers today, is one of great disorientation, and equally great responsibility.
Together we are navigating a past that carries multiple generations of trauma and pain, and a future that is bringing storms we know not yet how to weather. In the middle of it all - are our children, our lives, and each other.
How might we fulfill our sacred role of Mother and Father in these times? And how might we do that together?
What do you do when you’re lost together in the wilderness? You sit down. You come together to listen and learn and assess. You turn toward each other to orient, and do your best to make a plan of action.
You are invited to join Rachelle Garcia Seliga and Dan Doty for a series of conversations about the ancient roles of mother and father in this time of hypermodern disintegration.
We are not here with a plan or an answer. But we are clear on the call to commune - to come together - because in this way we can open ourselves up collectively, to receive the much needed answers.
We must accept our respective and collective inheritances – however distorted they may be. And move forward, together. This starts with us all acknowledging the ground we’re standing on.

Rachelle garcia seliga
Rachelle Garcia Seliga is a Mother, traditional midwife and holistic healthcare practitioner. She is the creator of INNATE Postpartum Care Trainings, teaching about Physiologic Postpartum Care to birth and healthcare practitioners worldwide.
Rachelle lives from a place of understanding that: we are living in very specific, unprecedented times on Earth. That we are midwifing a cultural shift, in creation of a Living Culture - simultaneous to the hospicing out of a "death culture" that has been the overculture on Earth for thousands of years. And that this time calls for ALL humans to come into our power; so that we can walk on Earth as the noble leaders we truly are - and participate within the beautiful web of life as humans are intended.
Rachelle's work centers Mothers, as Mothers are babies first environments; and Maternal health is foundational to humanity's health. From her inner and outer work experience, Rachelle is acutely aware of the heartbreaking beauty of evolving consciousness and coinciding dissolution - within Mothers, Fathers, Marriages, Partnerships and Families. She is very much looking forward to this conversation series to COMMUNE with Dan, those present, and the topics at hand - to source the best next step forward for our respective and collective well-being.
DAN DOTY
Dan Doty is a writer, wilderness guide, men's work leader, and somatic meditation teacher, and has helped to instigate and lead a part of the current global men's movement. He is also a partner at Evolution and works with leaders to bring humanity and sanity into organizations now and forward into the wildly unknown future.
Dan is the founder of Fatherhood Unlocked, and has developed a blueprint for educating and connecting today's fathers and expecting fathers. He is the former director and producer of MeatEater, he co-founded the men's organization EVRYMAN, and has been featured on the Joe Rogan Experience, the Today Show, and many national and international publications.
Dan's point of view has been developed as a long time wilderness guide, a Vajrayana buddhist practitioner, and a dad. His work is rooted in the experience of basic human goodness, and calls forth the need for courage in this time of unprecedented change. With an emerging specialty and focus on the metacrisis, Dan is intently asking questions about what our families, relationships, communities, and organizations need in our accelerating world.
Dan lives with his wife and 3 children in Maine, very close to the land, near the sea, where it’s quiet and beautiful.
